Welcome to my homepage. You will find a variety of information on my scientific work, my teaching activities and links to other interesting scientific projects in related fields. My research is based on a very broad and interdisciplinary approach to topics in medical biophysics, computational cell biology, bioinformatics and physics. Special research projects range from medically relevant questions of physiological cell signalling to detailed mathematical models of cellular systems. The methods used include modern fluorescence imaging techniques, sophisticated algorithms of modern image processing, especially for time series analysis, and spatially and temporally resolved mathematical models of cells and molecular interactions.
